Cleworth Architectural Legacy (CAL)

The Cleworth Architectural Legacy (“CAL”) Project is the flagship undertaking of the DAF. It is an educational program that uses the study of architecture to promote student development. Since expanding from a single DPS site in 2002-2003, CAL has been implemented in 25 other schools. Architects and design professionals from leading firms throughout Denver volunteer their time and talents to visit classrooms weekly for a lively and stimulating 8 week curriculum each spring for a 3 year period. Jointly planned and presented with the teachers, the built environment --- both familiar and exotic --- provides the scope of investigation for students.
